Julie Schwab recently graduated with her BA in Creative Writing and plans to continue her education this fall in pursuit of a MA in Theological Studies. Having grown up in one of Michigan’s small towns, she loves writing, playing the guitar, and tractor shows. She has a devotional article in Our Daily Bread (July 15, 2017) and an article published on ymi.today (August 11, 2017). Her dream is to write both Bible studies and fiction.
About this blog
Living and Learning is aimed at young adults, but is for anyone who who ever faces struggles. Each blog post is built from my own experiences. My goal is to write about things in my life, good or bad, and show the lesson that God is teaching me through them. We all face difficult times, but through each trial, God is perfecting us. My model verse is this 1 Peter 1:6-7:
In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
I believe that everything that happens in our lives happens for a reason, no matter what it is, whether we understand it or not, God is using it for something.
